Fostering Connections Between Employees and Communities

Business Employee Resource Groups (BERGs) are voluntary, employee-led communities whose mission and values align with the organization. BERGs foster a safe space and connections between employees that share similar interests, characteristics or backgrounds. The BERGs promote diversity, equity & inclusion at Maimonides Health.

Improving Community Health for Brooklynnites

We also host and participate in a number of local events and fairs in an effort to provide a safe, equitable, and inclusive environment where diverse employees of all levels and all identities are values, respected, supported and empowered to thrive. Some examples include:

  • Brooklyn Pride

  • Breast Cancer Awareness fundraising events

  • Employee fairs and engagements events supporting cultural holidays and other recognitions like Cancer Survivors Day, Veteran’s Day, Nurses’ Week, and Physicians’ Week
